I note they're running 7.62s on the RWS. Think that's just for cheaper training, or are they not planning on using the .50cal at all?

If the latter, will they use 'em on the M1A1s? They're a little harder to put a 7.62 onto. Does Poland use the .50 cal on anything else?

It was explained to me it was just for training, we are buying both M240's and M2's for our M1A2SEPv3's and M1A1SA's.

Yes we use .50cal's. We either use various M2 variants here and there, and also we have our own .50 cal MG, the WKM-B, what is WKM-B? This is Polish modified NSVT for 12.7x99mm NATO ammo. :)

So, few news. Borsuk is considered as modular tracked platform, new variants are being developed right now. Additional 4 prototypes are under construction. ZSSW-30 turret is further developed, right now development work os focused on integration of different ATGM's besides Spike LR1/LR2.

Trails should be completed next year, and also next year first agreement between MoD, PGZ and HSW should be signed for series production of Borsuk IFV.

One benefit of the idiotic amphibious requirement is that it has to have enough internal volume so it actually floats. :)

Yeah, amphibious capability requirement is still controversial. Yet, Borsuk is designed with modular armor, so amphiious capability can be sacrificed for better armor. And spaced armor at front can protect against 30x165mm AP and APDS ammunition. I wonder what actually is placed in the front hull cavity used as spaced armor, fuel tank perhaps?

IMO not, as vehicle can not be nose heavy or it will go down while swimming, and engine + transmission is in the front. But we will see some day for sure, as as with everything else someone will leak data so model in his favorite game gets more accurate. :)

The Polish army's Abrams main battle tanks (MBTs) will be equipped with battle management hardware and software from Leonardo DRS and Systematic, Janes has learnt. The systems will also be fitted onto recovery and bridging vehicles.

So, there are still some T-72's used by Polish Army, not all were sent to Ukraine. Now the questions is, how many we really had?

Polish MoD really like to make everything a secret.

And I was also mentioned. ;)

Tommorow this is 29.11.2022 I will also participate in conference. I was invited by Republic of Korea Embessy in Poland to attend conference about military industry cooperation between Poland and Korea. So I might learn something more about K2PL.

Found it at 31:27.  It's enlightening to recognize how many very knowledgeable individuals contribute to this hobbyist site.  :)

Can that ammo (and damn, it is a lot...) be used in the K2s and Leo 2s?
