Tried to reply to Mr King's picture of the Korean tank, but summat went wrong. Doh!

I thought "Japan" when I first saw it, then spotted the Korean writing.

Which picture was that? Buried deep in this thread?

Looks like S. Korean marines to me. An M48A3K, & an AAV7 in the background.

Good eye, didn't notice the Korean letters. I'm actually disappointed in myself. I should have noticed that Korean tank camo instantly. Although Japan didn't flash in mind since they never operated M48s.

Will be keeping an eye out of any videos of those in Yakima training center. They have had Type 90s, Type 74s, and lots of other stuff at YTC already.

In the link below, Japan's GSDF has been going to Yakima Training Center every September starting in 1994. I'd imagine the fancy stuff like tanks and such didn't get to Washington until much later.

Would be awesome to get a picture of a Type 10 and a M1 side by side. The Type 10 looks rather on the small side as far as MBT's go.

It's actually nearly the same size as an Abrams, but about 20 tons lighter.

Here's the dimensions I found. About a foot shorter and a foot narrower.

Abrams: 9.77m long by 3.66m wide by 2.44m tall

Type 10: 9.49m long by 3.24m wide by 2.3m tall
