Confessions of a Marine Corps Sensitivity Trainer

Excerpt

Quote

Inspection day dawned with visions of Portsmouth dancing in my head. I sent my scuzziest lance corporal out with a six-by (truck, to you) full of unauthorized gear, with orders to drive around the base until the inspection was over. He returned two weeks later and, when asked about the truck, replied, “You mean I had a truck with me?” But that's another tale.

Satire in a Jokes thread, where's the world going to?

I don't know what I was thinking. Probably that I hadn't finished my coffee yet.

In my defence, though, why would anyone want to hire humanimals?

Englishman drinking coffee instead of tea, possible explanation there... 😄

🤣

Coffee is the first drink of the day. Thereafter, tea. I don't drink tea first thing because I always use tea as an excuse to have some chocolate digestives, and they don't go well with breakfast.

I honestly would have never thought of chocolate and tea going together.

Chocolate digestives are a special case.

The key is for the biscuit base to be robust enough to stand "dunking", but soft enough to absorb the tea. Worst case is inferior product that ends up as mushy mud in the bottom of the cup/mug. Can also happen if your dunking game is weak.

"The key is for the biscuit...to be robust enough to stand "dunking", but soft enough to absorb the tea."

Substitute a U.S. style biscuit and coffee for tea ... food of the gods. Totally agree on the dunking game ability.
