Comments: Originally straight leg infantry during my active duty service. I saw the light only after I left active duty and joined the Reserves with Co A, 4th LAR Bn. Activated and deployed to Iraq for OIF I.

Tanknet: Got tired of Strategypage (easy to do), moved up in the world. Glad to be humbled by the amazing resources we have in our members here.

Found Tanknet through knowing someone who helps run the joint.

Lurked at first then started posting eventually. King Sargent set me

up and got me in trouble for yappiness so's I had to be reprimanded

and made to behave in this thread :D

 

Comments: This is an amazing place, with amazing people, and an amazing education about all sorts of amazing things, military and non-miltary. I'm hooked :)

I hate the destructiveness of war but am very pro Soldier, especially when they have to go off to war for the rest of us, risking and often sacrifing it all. I know who to be grateful to and who to appreciate for my life and lifestyles.

Service: Mandatory 26 months service. Infantry-AA Mistral missiles, hence the nickname :D , will remain in the reserves until 60, I think. :huh:

 

Found Tanknet back in 1995 or 1996, been a regular lurker here ever since, finally decided to join.

 

Interests: Tanks (wanted to be a tanker but no luck when I joined :( ), and 20th century military history.

Armor of course, especially SS defensive battles in the eastern front, Michael Wittman, any really intelligent tank maneuver/strategy used in history and nowadays, weapons of all kind, military history equipment of all sorts.

 

Got some knowledge epecially WWII. Haven't served in an army before.

 

Metal of all kinds, Jazz etc...

 

I play Metal Gear (DEVOTEDLY FANATIC), C&C, Resident Evil, DOD and Counter Strike.

 

Respect as long as I'm respected. Agnostic but i'm closer to atheism.
