Armed police were present, because the murdering scum was killed very quickly.

There's plenty of eyewitness reporting on all major UK sources. He ran someone down, got out of his vehicle, stabbed person he'driven into, stabbed at least two more then failed to get inside the synagogue.

He appears to have been shot after ignoring police commands to stay still and was wearing what looked like an explosive vest according to some eyewitnesses.

In case you're wondering, there has been universal condemnation, including from some Muslim groups.

The police have said this is a terrorist incident.

I'll hazard a guess that you could review all the groups and you'd find that some would in fact be supportive of the outragous behavior. So the guy killed was possibly the security guard. But if so, he did his job because the story is the guy was battering on the door with his knife trying to get in. The Jews inside the synagoge continued the service inside ignoring him.

Anyone who has a clue about security would know this was a failure. If the bomb had been viable, you'd have had some more measurable casualties from that. 

He should have been stopped at the perimeter.

Unfortunately, it seems that when the police opened fire, they also caught 2 victims, one of whom died, with the other injured.

This is an exceptionally rare occurrence for UK armed police - probably because they don't often engage in open combat.
