Stuart Galbraith Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Urban explorers look around an underhround RAF bomb depot. Which is mainly famous for blowing up...
Mykola Saichuk Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I will show you a photograph from my collection. It is an electrified training stand from a soviet fighter pilot school for fighting "Flying Fortresses."
Stuart Galbraith Posted October 14 Author Posted October 14 Fascinating. Bit more sophisticated than the RAF's briefing aids. But then the Air Ministry was a bit hard up at the time. When I was putting the map together for bases in the Leningrad military district, I was interested to note in the CIA files a report for a forward base for Tu4's being built in Estonia IIRC. Seemed a little bit far forward, but then I guess they had their reasons

Stuart Galbraith Posted October 14 Author Posted October 14 Wow. I bet that was fun to watch them land!
Mykola Saichuk Posted October 14 Posted October 14 and how much fun the pilots themselves had on the plane!
