I know that everything that goes on in Congress is mostly a dog and pony show, but it is still nice to see push back like this.

in a way it is like the world wrestling federation

it is a performance for sure

now is it real or all show

 

somewhere in between

because for the public they put on a show

but also attending the same exclusive mixers

living in the same exclusive neighborhoods

and their kids attend the same exclusive schools

 

the fact is that power corrupts and all this sort of thing

with power comes privileges and no one goes into politics not thinking about that on some level

or on the outside chance there is an idealist

corruption by the system is inevitable or you get out of the game

a careerist by definition is someone who uses the government as their career

why would anyone do that

 

but you still have to navigate the game and its convoluted politics

against not only the opposing party but your own

for the choice committees assignments positions and so on

 

now someone like trump really pisses both establishment parties off
