Angrybk Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Recently finished reading the McManus books (first one here ) and was pretty impressed by them, highly recommend. Very tough on MacArthur but (I think) also fair. Eichelberger and Krueger seem like first-rate generals, with their obvious differences and WRT the latter, especially, some weak points. Obviously the author is pro-Army on the Smith vs Smith stuff but I think his case is solid. Wainwright's sad post-war life was very depressing to read. Would love input from the grate site!
Rick Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 I think this is a great podcast on the Pacific War https://www.youtube.com/@UnauthorizedHistoryPacificWar
