Stuart Galbraith Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 7 hours ago, Ivanhoe said: Because you're not thinking. Higher-res imagery, particularly at low angles, would be extremely helpful in identifying defensive measures, potential spots for explosive charges, etc. When, not if, the PRC takes a run at Taiwan, its widely expected that they will precede their main attack with an infrastucture attack here in the States. They've been trying to hack into energy infrastructure for years, with some success. But if they really want to panic American citizens and coerce POTUS into circling the wagons at home rather than supporting Taiwan, causing the lights to go out in numerous areas via drones carrying 10 kilos of HE would do it. And the beauty of drones these days is that such an attack would not be casus belli as it could have been done by anybody. Alright, lets stop an unpack that. That is a lot of drones, which they have to procure in quantity in the US, and then modify to turn into explosive delivery platforms. So they then have to source commercial quantities of explosive to make it work, all sourced without the FBI noticing. Then they have to have thousands, and I do mean thousands, of PRC agents arriving from China at US airports to operate them. Unless they plan on using the US Underworld, and thats a probably even worse at keeping it covert. Alright, maybe 2-6 attacks I could buy. But we are seeing FAR more drone sorties than that. And the DOE, the USAF, everyone, is looking at this exposition thinking, gee, what we really need are some on site laser weapons to make the threat go away. So rather than finding anything out, they are just making any future operation useless by tipping their hands. Id like to believe it, because it would make an excellent ghost written Clive Cussler novel. To me, none of this makes any real sense. I think at most its groups of rednecks with a drone saying 'Gee, why dont we fly it around an airport and see how much mayhem we can cause?' or 'I wonder what a nuclear plant looks like?', or even 'Gee, Wilbur, I wonder if there really is a Hangar 18 at Wright-Patterson AFB?' We have rednecks of exactly the same calibre as well of course, invariably from Essex.
futon Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 After Israel's mass pager detonitions and Putin's 2022 Feb "practice" actually being invasion prep.. whose to say otherwise.

Remember, it's a PRC conspiracy, so they'll make sure that this part will be made easy. 52 minutes ago, Stuart Galbraith said: they then have to source commercial quantities of explosive Raid quarries, buy buckets of Tannerite at Home Depot. Possibly, smuggle in a few containers from mainland China if local procurement is deemed too risky. 55 minutes ago, Stuart Galbraith said: Then they have to have thousands, and I do mean thousands, of PRC agents arriving from China at US airports to operate them. Sleeper agents with posthypnotic orders. I've seen that in documentaries. I have no doubt, however, that there already are thousands of PRC fifth columnists everywhere - at universities, in corporations, aides of politicians, and then of course the legions of useful idiots. These are, of course, not your hardcore drone operators. But they will immediately flood the social media that resistance it futile, China's legitimate interests must be respected, yadda yadda yadda...

Wouldn't being fully blacked out be far more desirable? Exactly. So the most likely explanation seems that they are linked to some sort of US military program. That would solve a bunch of logistical issues, answer the question on the lack of policing and arrests, why the drones are lit up, and explain why the US military doesn't seem to care.
Ivanhoe Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML1817/ML18172A159.pdf https://www.twz.com/34800/the-night-a-drone-swarm-descended-on-palo-verde-nuclear-power-plant Quote Four (4) drones were observed flying beginning at 2051 MST [on Sept. 30, 2019] and continuing through the time of this report (2113 MST). As occurred last night, the drones are flying in, through, and around the owner controlled area, the security owner controlled area, and the protected area. Also, as last night, the drones are described as large with red and white flashing lights. Spotlights have not been noted tonight. Do y'all really think that DOD is operating large drones near a nuclear power plant?
Stuart Galbraith Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 If you want a first rate example of how bad even seemingly intelligent people are at observing things, its worth looking at this case. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rendlesham_Forest_incident It was only some 30 years later when listening to Lt Col Halts tape (head of the security detail on the base at RAF Woodbridge), they discovered a remarkable similarity int he frequency between the light he was observing moving through the trees flashing at them, and the flashing of the Orford Ness Light house several miles away on the other side of the trees. And lets not forget, this guy had been based there several months at this point. You kind of think he would have noticed, right? Here is what I think. If they dont have a video, we have an interesting report, which could be anything. It could be a UFO, it could be someone living in his moms basement using a drone. It could be PRC sleeper agents ready to trigger world war three. it might even be streetlights reflected off the belly's of Canada Geece (that actually happened believe it or not). Or, it could even be the Planet Venus. Or Marsh Gas. Or a Weather balloon, or... If they get it on video, lets see it. Even a decent photo will do. If they dont show it, far as Im concerned it didnt happen, or at least, not they way they are describing it.
NickM Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 This SOOO reminds me of a ww3 fiction where Gov Newsome is VP and meanwhile dozens of small Nork craft, disguised as tramp steamers or fishing ships converge on both coasts, without being noticed, suddenly launching short range nukes at all the major cities on both coasts

The problem is that all theories suck. Why would the US government not announce it if it were its own agencies doing air defense tests or whatever? How could the Chinese or Iranians possibly organize this type of sustained campaign on American soil without getting tracked and caught? Why would UFO's sound like Harleys? How could a bunch of teenagers get drones the size of cars and buses in large numbers. Nothing fits.

How could a bunch of teenagers get drones the size of cars and buses in large numbers. Nothing fits. Shouldn't expect anything to fit. Multiple players, players acting out of norms, etc. Is anybody tracking the Chinese illegals crossing the border from Baja to California? The LE agency tasked with doing so has been operating under orders to NOT track illegals. And there are apparently amateur wannabees here on work visas along with actual trained operatives with cover identities. The cartels have a whole sub-industry of smuggling dope in, by the ton. And smuggling cash out, by the ton. The PRC supplies the cartels with the ingredients for meth, you think there aren't strings attached? DOD has operated clandestine aircraft over the Contiguous 48, mostly in a careful fashion but not always. The normal Army UAV folks have their TTPs, but the secret squirrels surely don't abide by regulations and standards (ask any 35T you run across). Messy situations usually don't have clean explanations.
Tim the Tank Nut Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 if people are serious then call out the National Guard and bring it down with proper AD. That's a State level action. The owners of the craft violating FAA restricted air space will show up or be identified by the wreckage. Each day that passes makes our security look even worse.
rmgill Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 (edited) Or start putting up more effective air defense at US bases in CONUS or overseas. Seems like the duck hunters need to be given some love. Edited December 12, 2024 by rmgill
Ivanhoe Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 https://www.twz.com/air/mysterious-drones-swarmed-langley-afb-for-weeks Quote Langley Air Force Base, located in one of the most strategic areas of the country, across the Chesapeake Bay from the sprawling Naval Station Norfolk and the open Atlantic, was at the epicenter of waves of mysterious drone incursions that occurred throughout December. The War Zone has been investigating these incidents and the response to them for months. We know that they were so troubling and persistent that they prompted bringing in advanced assets from around the U.S. government, including one of NASA’s WB-57F high-flying research planes. Now the U.S. Air Force has confirmed to us that they did indeed occur and provided details on the timeframe and diversity of drones involved. Now, chances are that NASA was really just looking for an excuse to get some more flight hours in their Canberra (keep in mind that NASA Langley Research Center shares fencing and a golf course with Langley AFB, or should I say Joint Base Langley-Eustis). IIRC the Canberra is kept at Dryden Research Facility.

PaulFormerlyinSaudi Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Although my SIL says he has seen them, I am still a skeptic. I think this is a case of mass hysteria.
DKTanker Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 All manner of airports in the vicinity, people are seeing aircraft in landing patterns or aircraft that have recently taken off, and have convinced themselves they are seeing zebra drones instead of run of the mill manned aircraft.
Stuart Galbraith Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Its kind of like that story going around at the millenium, that the guvmint were spreading chemtrails out of commercial airliners. When the story goes around, EVERYONE sees one, particularly if its on Coast to Coast.
Stuart Galbraith Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 A case in point. https://x.com/CWLemoine/status/1867208558443405495?t=vERWd07eWGiG5FCl58pXaA&s=19

It's New Jersey. They're morons who vote democrat. One of the few states that voted for Kamala in the majority. 2. It's technical things. So many people go through life not looking at what's normal and around them. It's why technical people like me have jobs. Edited December 13, 2024 by rmgill
