A friend has been working for years on a website that attempts to aggregate online information on militaria various. It is, inevitably a work in progress but it may be worth a look.

That gets you the home page, but the examples should give an idea as to what it offers.

It can, for example, tell you what the military-related sites near to some location are, so you can arrange a visit, gives timelines, Wikimedia images and so on.

It's mainly UK information at the moment, but it accepts information from any location if anyone wants to contribute.
