Oil dot weathering!

I was watching an Ammp painting vid of a Bf109 and wondered what all those colored dots were for. 

 

Then I looked up the effect and tried it on a Pz 4 I have already painted. It wast first afv model, be nice lol.

Thats very good.

I cant say Ive done much with the oil dot method, Im not sure it translate to large scale models. I mainly use washes, which seem to work ok.

I think it would translate best with larger models. It'd be easier to do, plus you could see the streaks better.
