By my understanding she grew up looking like a girl but had a penis that was inverted, ie not dropped and testicles that were internal. Thus she had the benefit of far higher bone and muscle density just as a kid sitting around playing computer games than a driven female athlete would have. This is why the failing grade for the US Army PT test for men is right at the absolute best for the women's PT Test scores. Can you cite the specific condition for greater clarity? And correct on the atypicality of the trans condition in this case. My first experience with transgender issues was with this very sort of case in High School with a classmate I was not familiar with, but we, the students were all given brief on the issue and were told that any taunting of the student over the issue would have been dealt with ruthlessly. It was a true medical condition and I didn't and do not think it the same as someone with autoerotic gynophilia. Female enough for the doctors, authorities and parents in Algeria to consider the person female from birth on.
rmgill Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 Right the IOC might want to you know conduct a chromosomal test along side the usual drug tests. Is there a syndrome where somene with XY chromosomes will form ovaries and not testicles? External or internal?

rmgill Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 There is that. Why did I just think of that old Wendy's commercial?
Ivanhoe Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 Hope she was wearing a cup ("cricket box" for you foreign devils).

Stargrunt6 Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 What's interesting about testosterone insensitivity syndrome is that a lot of women end up becoming models. Not all pf their body is insensitivity to T. So they are taller, with more defined cheek bones with more developed musculoskeletal system.

Stargrunt6 Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 .... I'm sorry, what were we talking about again?

First, not exactly "Slavic genes" as Irina Shayk (Irina Valeryevna Shaykhlislamova, from Shaykh al-Islām ) was born from Russian mother and Volga Tatar father, in simple working class family in the middle of nowhere. So, it is mix of mixes (as both "Russians" and Volga Tatrs are quite diverse types), Can't say she was greately standing out in terms of her outlook - just another small town girl. "According to Shake, she was not popular at school. None of her classmates saw her as a future star when they teased her for her tall stature and plump lips." ( Из девочки, которую дразнили, в икону стиля: как менялась Ирина Шейк | Я Покупаю – женский журнал | Дзен (dzen.ru)_ Actually, since attempts to "become models" are (or at least were) quite popular among girls in Russia, there is no surprise disprorortionatly high percentage of tall and slim girls here are becoming models (actually usually they first are picked up by Track and field coaches in early teens and only then by modeling scouts). As one collegue of mine told me, "First you suffer from being laughet at for being too tall and too slim by classmates - before discovering it is actually cool to be tall and slim". It got more to do with modern beauty standards. As soon as tall and slim girls will become "out of fashion", it will end. Edited August 2, 2024 by Roman Alymov

And if the do, they are non functional. People with Swyer syndrome have female external genitalia and some female internal reproductive structures. These individuals usually have a uterus and fallopian tubes, but their gonads (ovaries or testes) are not functional. Instead, the gonads are small and underdeveloped and contain little gonadal tissue. These structures are called streak gonads. The streak gonadal tissue is at risk of developing cancer that is often hard-to-detect, so it is usually removed surgically. Swyer syndrome is also called 46,XY complete gonadal dysgenesis; the medical term “dysgenesis” means "abnormal development."
R011 Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Cynicism, hunmour and politics aside, I did just happen across the Olympics palying in the break room at work. A girl from "AIN", I don't know if Russia or Belarus, was performing some spectacular feats on a trampoline. There's still some pretty cool stuff going on.
Detonable Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 Men's 10K race was a classic. Thirteen runners broke the previous Olympic record.

I dont even had a problem with Trans doing sport, just as long as they are in their own seperate category if their strength is a feature. I accept the distinction and this woman clearly isnt trans. But I still think there is evidence that a biological abnormality is giving her an appreciable advantage. The olympic committee were all over Pistorious when they found out his blades were just a little bit too long. This should be judged in the same vein.

Also, perhaps @Stargrunt6 would appreciate this: She is for sure not the reason "of the current epidemic of use of surgery to put inflated lips in women" - as the fashion for this type of faces predates her (started in early 2000th here in Russia, when she was just unknown student in Chelyabinsk) . Rather, she was picked up because of matching this "beauty standard". Why/how "beauty standards" are cretated (and if they are created or just result of some natural trend) - is, probably, the topic going too far even for FFZ, and for sure is out of my field of competency.
