Dawes Posted June 7 Posted June 7 This pistol has gotten positive reviews on the US market. Other than possibly Beretta, there aren't too many handguns with chromed barrels. Was this to a military requirement? https://zastavaarmsusa.com/product/pistol-cz999/
Markus Becker Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Not necessarily a bad thing. The actual P226 being German is probably pricey and a rather old fashioned with it's metal frame.
Dawes Posted June 8 Author Posted June 8 Sounds like the designers borrowed from various sources. From Wikipedia: "However, the overall design of the pistol took far more inspiration from the Walther P88 than the P226. Some of the P88 features that were used on the CZ99 include similar slide serrations, magazine, magazine release, and, of course, the ambidextrous combined safety-decocker."

It looks awfully P226-like to me, but I'm not up on Walthers, even though they are great pistols.
