2x8GB of DDR-2400 RAM should be ~50 bucks, 1 TB NVME disk about a 100 bucks?

It uses SODIMM memory, a 16GB kit is 44 bucks on amazon.com, so yes.

1TB Crucial SSD is 74, on the same place

You are correct it uses laptop (SODIMM) memory. Thanks for correction.

We posted at the same time. Also, a lesser performing NVME should be perfectly aceptable, as it still would be vastly faster than a HDD.

Yep, the slowest possible SATA SSD will simply crush the fastest HDD in terms of speed and reliability. An NVMe SSD is like adding a turbocharger.
