Stuart Galbraith Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 It reminds me of the car in the start of the Pink Panther show. Deeply impressive though.

DKTanker Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 Oddball took that gold and parlayed it into a medical degree. Five years later he found himself in another war up to his elbows in human bowels at a MASH unit.
Stargrunt6 Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 Richard Sinmons, dead at 76. https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/13/entertainment/richard-simmons-death/index.html He was from New Orleans and had a tough childhood. His deadbeat father was unhappy for not making it into Hollywood so he didn't work. Simmons' mother worked as a tassle twirler to keep the family afloat. Meanwhile, Simmons was bullied relentlessly as a child for being overweight, including being lit on fire. My dad grew up in New Orleans as well, working-class environment (read: tough). Every place has bullying, but NOLA has a crime tradition that just trickles down. My old broker when I was a realtor grew up with Simmons and was a close friend. She called him "Dickie," like all of his close friends. He was such a good sport on Letterman and reminded people that exercise doesn't always have to be miserable. Rest well, sir.

DKTanker Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 A story Chi Chi used to tell. He was instructing golf at a resort in Puerto Rico when he was assigned to teach a forty something woman the art of the golf swing. Says he, "I watched her hit a number of tee shots to assess her swing, she was hitting everything to the left. So I told her I could have her playing real well because she was a natural hooker. That was that last day I ever taught golf."
