Franz Reuther died at age 82 in Miami. Born and raised in Rhineland-Palatinate he clawed his way to great commercial success in the international music business as Germany's sole music producer giant. Early successes came from faking a disco pop band in the studio with tape machines, then hiring Jamaican singers as demand for live concerts could no longer be resisted. Repeated his success with another pop group in the late 1980s/early 90s until the hired singer-actors became uppity and he pulled the rug from under them.

Franz Reuther was better known under his artist name, Frank Farian, Godfather of Boney M and Milli Vanilli.

U.S. country singer Toby Keith at age 62 from stomach cancer. Had a sense of humor in some of his songs such as "I'll Never Smoke Weed with Willie(Nelson) Again," "Red Solo Cup," and "I Want to Talk About Me."

My favorite Toby Keith song is "As Good As I Once Was," both funny and honest.

Reportedly Toby Keith had cancer. Last pictures he looked like he had lost a lot of weight.

I'm not a big country fan, but Keith had a couple of songs I liked. Some videos from better days for Keith.

I liked some of his songs. They actually sounded country. Shame he died so young.

There doesn't seem to be anything in the news about it.  Wikipedia still lists him as being alive.

I know,  but my wife's family social media feeds have him as "muerto", but it's clear he's still alive and kicking
