Rick Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 Ironic that Honda engines are in a B29. Very impressive!
Stuart Galbraith Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Shorts Brothers says, hold my beer.... Surprised this kind of thing isnt more common for large aircraft.
Mike1158 Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Wiuth all the CFD and other computer simulations, I doubt they need to now. They tested the Concord wing planform on the BAC 221 but it is no doubt cheaper to do something else.
Stuart Galbraith Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Oh, I didnt mean for testing aircraft anymore. Just that its the only chance we will ever have to see a Halifax or a Stirling back in the air. There are some guys building a full size Dornier X replica, but I doubt they will ever risk flying it.
