Nikolas93TS Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Officially announced. Quote It has been some time since Armored Brigade wrote the book on combined arms warfare. Now, it has returned to open a new chapter...with Armored Brigade II. Set against the tense backdrop of the Cold War, “Armored Brigade II” offers a plethora of enhancements and innovative features in comparison to its predecessor. The game shifts from a 2D to a more immersive 3D environment. Furthermore, it introduces a refined waypoint editor system, major improvements to the spotting sharing system, enhanced infantry mechanics, expanded fire and air support options, and many more novelties.
Der Zeitgeist Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 Hmm, with a 3D engine. Finally some real competition for Combat Mission.
Stuart Galbraith Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Is it still editable stats for strange modders like myself?
Nikolas93TS Posted September 13, 2023 Author Posted September 13, 2023 Absolutely, database editor is still there.
Stuart Galbraith Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Excellent, Chieftain Mk13 here we come.

Stuart Galbraith Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Ooh, suddenly my cold war era manuals showing coms flow charts become useful again. Is it possible to import older mods into this, or is it entirely new? Just wondering if I can import my Ukrainian stuff and save myself some effort.
seahawk Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Looks like a must have and the 3D engine will make it a bit more visual fun.
Nikolas93TS Posted November 14, 2023 Author Posted November 14, 2023 Yes, so far, old databases have been backward-compatible. Once they are loaded, they are automatically converted to enable new features, and units use special placeholder models.
Stuart Galbraith Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 Thats great news. Well you got one sale at least then.
RETAC21 Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 So no Armored Brigade I on Black Friday then? better to wait?
Stuart Galbraith Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 Its still worth getting, if only to help the devs, and figure out the control system. And of course, to play my Ukraine/Russia/USSR/Britain upgrade mod... Nikolas, is the DLC going to be cross compatible as well?
RETAC21 Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 Ok, I will bite! life is too short for so many hobbies...
Stuart Galbraith Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 The ONLY criticism I will make of it, companies dont move through defiles easily. And I dont believe the AI does a very good job at bring in all the units together, it parcels them out making destroying them easier. Although to be fair, both criticism could be made of Steel Panthers, and I still have a great fondness over that warhorse. Let us know how you get on.
RETAC21 Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 Well, I like it, as it seems easy to get into, reminds me of TACOPS
Stuart Galbraith Posted November 25, 2023 Posted November 25, 2023 Yeah, it is very like that. Its not entirely unlike the route setting system on steelbeasts either.
