Pinguins that fly and other Norwegian oddities

"Penguin" originally referred to Flightless Auk, which was North Atlantic bird. When superficially similar flightless birds were discovered from Southern Hemisphere, same name was used from them.

So once there indeed were 'penguins' in Norway, although they couldn't fly either.
