Just picked up a real gem

I have been looking for a SIG P-225 for a while.  It is no longer in production by Sig (at least in the US).  In Europe I think it is called the P6.  I had my brother who has exceptional gun-fu to look for one.  Well he not only got me one for an exceptional price, but it was the last model the P225-A1 model with the special grips, SIG branding, and three magazines.  This thing is pristine!  I doubt seriously if it has had 100  rounds through it.  I am so happy, and it will fit my holster for my Sig P-229.  Single stack 9mm, and just in superb shape, even the magazines are pristine.

Now I just have to wait and get a box of department issued duty ammo (I have to buy my own), 9mm 124gr +P Ranger SXT so that I carry the same thing the department issues (liability reasons).  And it is lighter than the P-229.  I am so impressed.  I have to go and qualify with it, but that is not an issue.

I did, but under Federal and State law, an honorably retired peace officer with over 20 years service can still carry a firearm.  But you have to requalify each year with your old department, and are issued honorably retired credentials.  For liability reasons, I just elect to carry what the department issues in terms of ammo, those evil ambulance chasing lawyers don't you know....

I saw the thread title and figured that he got a 72 F150 with a V8 and a floor shifter with working air.  Imagine my disappointment...

No, if I was to do something like that it would be a '71 Hemi-Cuda or 440 six pack Charger.

That would be sweet.

Nice, a SIG back before their QC went to hell.

I've got a 68 Charger, race car.  My latest gem is a 2006 Triumph Tiger 955i.  Hope to pick it up Friday.  S/F....Ken M

GF has 9mm P-225, that pistol has really nice DA trigger, probably best I have ever shot.

P6 is the German official service designation. Used as such by several state and federal police forces. They can still be seen, but are mostly replaced by double-column magazine types now. I have a gas/blank-firing replica and just love the controls.

For some reason the single stack SIG handguns (P-220 P-225) just fit my hand perfectly, and are exceptionally comfortable.  Other than having to carry a P-229 for two years, I carried my trusty P-220 for the entirety of my law enforcement career.  It shoots just so nicely.  Plus one of the guys was trying to get me to get a Glock or a SIG P-320 but I have decades of "muscle memory" and the single stacks just feel better to me.  YMMV.  The most perfectly fitting handgun I have ever held/shot was a Belgian made Browning HI-Power in 9mm, it was like picking up an extension of my arm.

My ambitions are lower, I would settle to being the Warlord of my house.... just saying.

Heard there's plenty of internal migration from the left coast to the red states, including Texas, who said militias can't do the same? At least, I want to believe.
