shep854 Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Another Tanknetter used a hangar deck launch photo as his avatar. Some early US carriers were also equipped with the capability to string arresting wires across the bow area, to be able to recover aircraft while steaming astern, if necessary.
