Murph Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 You know, I am getting much more fond of the French. I wish people would do this to US politicians. How brilliant!
Ssnake Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Media silent? Because the French call it "Tuesday". And since you wish for more of it in the US: The French are doing this since about 1950, and look where it got them.
lucklucky Posted March 23, 2024 Author Posted March 23, 2024 French Football Championship is sponsored by Uber Eats, next year season 24/25 will be named "Ligue 1 McDonald's"
NickM Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Whut 'bout the North African drug honcho that his minions busted out if a French prison van?
urbanoid Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Quote The trial involving Dominique Pélicot (pictured) has just begun in France. This guy drugged his wife for 10 years, invited strange men to his house, including Pakis and Sub-Saharan blacks, and recorded them raping her. Why did ro do it? Because he believed that his wife was prejudiced against people of color and that sexual contact with them would cure her of racism. My wife was a racist, I wasn't, so I invited a black guy, an Arab... Seeing her with them turned me on even more. Most sane progressive in France, probably.
sunday Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Guys like that make difficult to reason against the restoration of impalement as a means of execution.

rmgill Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 One could argue that inflicting such long suffering is punished with long suffering.

rmgill Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Huh, I remember those photos from Bill Gunston's Rockets and Missiles. Never paid attention to the range on that system.... Amusing. I guess armies are always preparing for the last war the were in.
Tim the Tank Nut Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 well, they actually assumed that the Russians would make it through Germany so the system made sense in a way.
Stuart Galbraith Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 The Soviet warplans we can see from the Polish exercise did not envisage stopping till they reached the Channel. Heck, they even had a plan for taking Italy, so no reason to assume they were going to stop when they reached Dunkirk.
Tim the Tank Nut Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 with the French nuclear deterrent they weren't going to get to Dunkirk
