Nordstream Is Burning

Recommended Posts

I think Scholz was ordered to Washington as German security services were getting close to exposing the truth about the attack. He will have been told very clearly that there would be more accidents in Germany, if the US participation in the attack on the German energy supply would be made public.

He likes it when it parrots his narrative, which, granted, it does for the most time, so you are unfair 😅

Maybe Ukrainians are Russians after all? :)

From Russian TG

"The Germans are trying to assure us that on this yacht called "Andromeda" six "pro-Ukrainian activists" transported dozens, if not hundreds, kilograms of explosives, which were used to undermine the "Northern Streams".
We need to remember this version. Then we will show a similar yacht, with the help of which "pro-Argentine activists" will cut the transatlantic cable between the United States and Britain
"

Joking aside, I am baffled how, after he publicly promised to destroy Nord Stream, and then it WAS destroyed, everybody jumped to explain away his statement "Well yes he said that but he didn't MEAN that". ?? As I see it, US has the means, the motivation, and they promised to do it. So...why is the official story in the West that they absolutely are not a suspect, nope, never?

Personally, they're not on my top suspect list here, I am just amazed how quickly the pundits rushed to downplay Biden's statement.

It's probably because that's not what he said.

Meanwhile, some minor evolutions. The wondering why anyone sailing from Rostock to Bornholm would laboriously detour for a stop at the little port of Wieck/Darß seems addressed: it was a mix-up with Wiek (sans c) on Rügen Island. One of the forged passports allegedly used to rent the boat (indeed a Bavaria 50 sailing yacht named Andromeda) is reported to have been Bulgarian.

The Bundestag's intelligence oversight committee was briefed on the investigations this week. I expect a somewhat more comprehensive official statement or possibly a press conference by relevant authorities within the next two weeks or so.

Dunno.  Once they determine who their Western handlers were, then they can ask them.

He said "If Russia invades, that means tanks or troops crossing the ... border of Ukraine again, then there will be ... no longer a Nord Stream 2. We, we will bring an end to it." And Russia invaded, and Germany revoked certification for Nord Stream 2, which brought an end to it. Just as Olaf Scholz said on the same occasion, standing next to Biden: "We will be united. We will act together. And we will take all the necessary steps."

Revoking certification is not an end, just a suspension. Biden was specifically questioned, how he can end the project, given it is in German control, and he said he will be - followed by uncomfortable silence.

The more theories there is, the more general weirdness, to me highlights fairly strongly that what is going on is a Russian disinformation operation. And we saw this with the Murder of Alexander Litvinenko, the invasion of Georgia, the attack on Crimea, the shootdown of MH17, the demolition of the Czech ammunition depot, the attempted murder of the Skripals, and at every single point in this fucked up excuse for a war.

It looks like  they are busy trying an offensive of misinformation, to try and break the ties between the US and Europe, by making both sides think the other did it. I can admit some of the means they have used to do it show some advance on previous years, by coopting Seymour Hersh, or even coopting the American intelligence service by dropping the information on them first. But its not changing the basic pattern, throw shit in their eyes by throwing a million different theories, and see if any had a chance to stick.

This is the Joe Biden who can barely remember whats happening next week, who prepared months in advance an attack and was determined to carry it out?

It all sounds very convincing. Until you remember is Joe Biden, and he has to carry prompt cards to remember what he is talking about.

Come on Yama, you are smarter than this by a country mile.

See? This is what I said, everybody jumping to defend him "Yes well but he didn't MEAN it". If there was an OBL video showing him threatening to bring down the Twin Towers, would you say "Well it doesn't prove anything, he was talking in metaphorical sense..."

And saying "end" is not saying "destroy".

You can of course believe that the US risked ending, or even destroying, the alliance with its main strategic hub in Europe, because the war in Ukraine was "going badly", and they feared Germany would cease support and go back to Russia for need of gas. At a time Ukraine had just pushed Russia back to its own border in the northeast, gas prices were dropping steeply from the August high, Germany was exceeding its aims in building up gas reserves, and was delivering Gepards and PzH 2000.

But it was not yet locked in as a buyer of US gas and oil for the long term. Now it is.
