I don't think anyone knows who Trump will pick for VP, even Trump. But I think Vivek's constant sucking of his dick makes it clear he wants a position, whatever he can get. It's not like a bunch of white MAGAists are going to elect the offspring of an Indian immigrant, whether its Haley or Vivek. Either one of those people would see their voter turnout die out in a general election.

How would it change anything if two guys saying the same thing all the time to the same audience ran together? Is there anyone who is pro Tucker who isn't pro Trump or vice versa?

 

There seems to be a weird thing in conservative politics where simultaneously they are the minority being put upon by wokeness but also the clear majority who should win and anyone who doesn't like Tucker and Trump clearly must belong to a < 50% of the voters. It is weird. Flip through any NewsMax/Faux News web page and you see alternating "we are the majority"/"we are the minority being oppressed" articles.

My interpretation is that both can be correct at the same time if you just assume the only real people are white christians. I know that seems like a reach, but it does square the circle: we can't get get the popular vote but real americans want trump!

You really think their ethnicity is that big of a deal to the MAGA crowd?  I'm no fan of Trump or his supporters... but I question the role race plays.  All that seems to matter is loyalty to the orange man-child.

I mean... seems a given Trump will be in the upcoming Epstein release (since there are already so many photos of the two together).  I wonder what impact that will have on his support?  I'm guessing it won't change anything... sadly.

I think not all MAGAites are white nationalists but most white nationalists are MAGA. And in particular I suspect the voter base who shows up for a primary (dem or Rep) is particularly racially charged. And I think presidential elections are so close (due to the electoral college) that even several percentage points of MAGA staying home because the GOP candidate is not white would be enough to deep six any Republican candidate in a general election.

 

But yes, the far bigger issue seems to be that these candidates are not Trump. I wish I’d bookmarked all the old posts complaining about Obama being a cult of personality.

AFAIKS, there's nothing new about either Clinton or Trump in the doc drop, who have both long been known to be refered to by Giuffre with pretty much the same statements: "Yeah I met him, but he never had sex with us". The biggest revelation seems to be mention of Michael Jackson, though any risky business on his part wouldn't be a big surprise given his own reputation for slumber parties.

That's probably the outcome.  Niki's joke about New Hampshire's primary existing to correct Iowa's mistakes will leave a small mark, so her 3rd place finish will be a few points further back than it would otherwise have been.

Nope.  Two points to consider.  Trump will never consider somebody that threatens his own shine.  Nobody that does shine would willingly live in Trump's shadow.
