Urgh just watching Gran Torino again. I guess you could debate “heroic death” because Eastwoods character didn’t have long to live anyway so he chose to end his life on his own terms and in a way that helped people he cared about vs just lying in a cancer ward. Such a good movie though.

I'll say it again, I'll never watch it again. It's so damn good but sad.
