The price for breakfast at the hotel is murderous, but it seems that McDonalds is the only alternative.

Given that a room is close to 800 EUR, additional 100 EUR for breakfast doesn't seem to be a bad deal.

Btw according to both hotel's website and booking.com the room costs the same for 2 people as it does for 1.

There are three hotels close together, two Best Western and one NH. Prices differ a bit, but if we are going to break fast at McD, I suppose some leeway could be allowed.

Yes this one, Vuursteen 1, 2132 LZ Hoofddorp, I didn't pre-pay breakfast and am agnostic about where we eat it.  The hotel is expensive but convenient I assume an egg mcmuffin is an egg mcmuffin but proximity to the airport and hotels will jack the prices up accordingly.

Edited to add, the rooms seem to come with fridges so I'd be fine with picking up some bread and cheese and self catering.

He does, I (eternal optimist that I am) pre-paid so that will be my hotel regardless.  No one else needs to be bound by my choice.

Made my bookings, plane and hotel, arriving 18th in the evening, staying at the Bastion Hotel. Has slightly better reviews than the Best Western, plus free parking, in case that is needed. Next door to the Best Western so there shall not be coordination issues.

Coffee machine too. Supermarkets are with 3km.

🤔 Cool but the liters per kilometer ratio will bankrupt us. 

In more serious matters: who rents and drives the rental? And what do we rent? 

Björn has his Golf Combi when he joins us over the weekend. That leaves six and I'm very likely to arrive by car and alone.
