The truck seems to turn in direction of the airplane path, it seems quite strange in 2nd video.

Probably crossed onto the runway and was trying to veer off of the path of the oncoming liner. Or perhaps they were planning on running down that active runway as part of the drill, but as noted above, didn't ask permission and wait for it before entering the active OR perhaps the Tower granted permission to roll and the aircraft didn't have take off clearance. 

Listen to the Kennedy Steve's work and you'll hear him granting permission for trucks to cross actives during some of the emergencies at JFK Intl.

From the latest Juan Browne video, it seems that due to recent building activity they got lost. They thought they were on a taxiway, and in actual fact were on the runway.
