It was wonderful watching libtards squirm for a change.  Especially when everything they got hit with was a truth-MOAB.

I do like the 'Jira is not a communications platform' dissembling.

Its a ticketing system for tracking issues, which is a form of communications. Sure its not slack, or email but its communications none the less.

Just think of the bandwidth.

It's obvious they are making strides on part of the codebase. Frontend payload has shrunk by nearly half from its 6mb+ size.

Well, quite. It's a professional tool for managing professional communications about a specific range of topics. If you're using Skype/Teams/Email to write up investigations and change justifications and such, you're doing it wrong (although I think you can attach stuff to Jira entries to maintain traceability).

I think the authoritarian, leftists lauding twitter for their good work at censorship is the bigger story.

I agree.  The left used to at least pretend to like free speech, now we see them as they are, totalitarian communists.

Another aspect of Taibbi’s latest Twitter Files release was the involvement of an ultra-Left Indian news portal. Reacting to the Twitter Files revelations, the DFRLab released a statement that the dataset sent to Twitter’s Trust & Safety Team for verification was “part of an investigation into alleged coordinated disinformation and online harassment in India, conducted in parallel with the Indian outlet…” One of the reporters from the Indian news portal had collected the dataset and shared it with the DFRLab alleging those tweets were from the “Hindu nationalists” and BJP supporters.

Savitri was outraged. She felt that Hindus in the US were being singled out for political opinions. “Why is it a crime to support Hindu causes?” she said. It was an ominous sign that “free spaces for Hindus are shrinking.”

So add racist to partisan in your mental model of DHS, CISA, GEC, etc.

I guess Elon figures twitter is going to go broke anyway so he might as well give it a proper Viking funeral.

What evidence do you have that Twitter is in any danger of going broke?

Google hired 130 former DOJ, DHS, CIA and FBI employees, the Daily Caller’s key term search on LinkedIn found. Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, employed 47 people for those three entities who were previously at the DOJ, FBI or DHS. TikTok, the Chinese-based app embattled with national security concerns, employed 25 former DOJ, FBI, DHS or CIA employees. Twitter had 46 executives who had previously spent time working for the three-letter agencies.

None, it's a private company after all and not required to publish financials.  We know that when Twitter was a public company that it was losing money every quarter and there's no evidence that that has changed since the takeover.
