Her site is in Spanish, apparently she is from Spain.  Some of her stuff is really funny.

Oh man, this hits close to home. Uni didn't prepare me for the necessity of building unit tests that catch the case of a user putting in air density of 1225 kg/m3. Or a helo flying 1000m below ground.

With consumer grade software development, I posit that the amount of testing that can be invested prior to a release is a function of the amount of money that the software is expected to generate. And even if you have an operating system sold for hundreds of dollars to be installed on billions of computers, which probably represents the optimal case, there's still stuff you'll never find before a number of users do, and be it just because people in committees write deliberately vague hardware specifications (looking at you, USB-C) to simply end a debate between competing companies and go home for the weekend.

As long as we do what we can, I have a clean conscience. For safety-relevant software, or where dozens of millions of dollars are at stake, there's certifications - and a customer base that is willing to pay for it all (and if it isn't because the decision-makers are penny-pinching idiots, they will rightfully pay the price for sending such idiots into decision-making positions without fail-safe management procedures).
