Two vehicles with two missile each. It basically has two independent guidance systems and any Kornet launcher with multiple ready missiles can guide two missiles at a single target.

Ah, so it is engine limitation. :(

...note that I wrote, the current engine.

Every software and every model is based on explicit and implicit assumptions. When l joined Steel Beasts in 1997 the (then software-based) render engine was done and our ambition was to have two relatively similar MBTs available with two major crew positions, Commander and Gunner. The assumption was that each combat vehicle would have one Gunner, one Commander, one Driver, and one main armament with one coaxially mounted weapon.

These were sensible implicit assumptions given that we were planning to work have the M1A1 and Leopard 2A4. With remotely controlled weapon stations emerging we still could work around some engine limitations. But when you think of BMP-3 with 100mm gun with both 30mm autocannon and 7.62mm MG in coaxial mount (plus gun launched ATGM to boot), or the BMP-T "Terminator" or here the Kornet-D, well, it's clear that these fundamental assumptions don't always apply.

So, we're approaching a phase of software redesign. (Yay...) At the end of it, many of these limitations will be lifted, at which point a vehicle like the Kornet-D/-D1 would certainly receive a facelift and a functional upgrade. For now, I guess it's still better to have it with these limitations than to not have it at all.

BMPT (w/o - ) should be easier, other than AGLs, since one 30mm gun is usually loaded with HE only, and other with AP, hence usually they would not be used simultaneously (through it is possible, and popular at arms shows).

But BMP, especially with all working MGs... I can feel engine's pain. :)

The bit in the notes about Warrior, Im not convinced thats entirely correct. From my understanding the uparmour did not exist before it was first used in Operation Granby. For Challenger 1 it was created as urban uparmour so they could assault into Kuwait City, the original operation for 7th Armoured Brigade.

From my recollection, the Uparmour on Challenger was certainly designed, but had not been produced before. Its possible there had been some intent to replace the Chieftains in the Berlin Brigade with Challenger, which would make an uparmour kit presumably necessary. But there was no issuing of it, im not even sure it was built, before 1990 at the earliest. It was just a design roll that existed on a shelf somewhere.

As far as Warrior is concerned, unless someone can show a photo of it before 1990 with uparmour fitted, I would doubt very much it actually existed, even in design form, unless perhaps there was some intent to send them to Berlin. I cannot recall it in the Warrior brochure, and that pretty much shows every variant conceivable, including several never built. It was after all, several months before Warrior in the Desert received its uparmour, and it seems likely if Iraq had unwisely gone over the border, it would have likely fought without any uparmour at all.

The best indicator of this, is the Romor uparmour, seemingly has a close relationship to that hung on Centurion AVRE and even the Chieftain Bridgelayer. And it seems unlikely to the point of impossiblity anyone has produced uparmour for those.

There was a huge amount of money thrown at MOD for the Iraq war, including some stuff that never even got issued, like coolant system for Challenger 1 that was trialled for the war but never issued.  I think pretty much all of this only suddenly arrived when that tranche of money did.

This is interesting.

Just question, if I want to try SP Pro PE, I just need 1-month subscription without that USB thingy?

Not sure if I'd be willing to shell out $115 for simulation I might or might not like.
