Perun
16 hours ago, Stuart Galbraith said: Seek and ye shall find. https://apcz.umk.pl/KH/article/view/43160 Ask yourself this question. Was there a logical requirement for 22 assault landing ships, to defend against an assault by Denmark upon Poland? Probably not, no. The plans listed above were unveiled in 2005 by the Sikorski Government. Their reasons for doing so are instructive. https://www.rferl.org/a/1063249.html https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Plan-of-an-Offensive-Operation-of-the-Coastal-Front-The-heading-is-quite-clear-as-well_fig1_304461906 The name on the map is interesting. General Jaruzelski. Yes, the same guy whom assured the round table talk that they planned to defend only, was planning a nuclear tipped lightning blitzkrieg across Europe, to the tip of Denmark to the French coast at Dunkirk. Its funny how he never mentioned that, right? https://dziennik3rp-blogspot-com.translate.goog/2012/02/polska-szykowaa-zachodowi-atomowa.html?_x_tr_sch=http&_x_tr_sl=pl&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en 170 tactical nuclear strikes, in an defensive/offensive operation. Best maps ive found on Reddit ironically. Its worth downloading and zooming in. Its clear they were less bypassing defensive positions, than nuking them first and blasting through the rubble. Like I said, you dont have to accept this. You can politely disagree. But I respectfully reserve the right to get royally pissed off when you say Ive no sources worth examining. kokovi
Regarding the map, are only the bomb symbols nukes or the big red dots, too? At least my hometown doesnβt have a nuke on it although it had a small air base that would have been used for fighter reinforcements, too.
Stuart Galbraith
The way I interpeted it (and I may well be wrong), the bomb symbols were strategic targets, presumably utilizing SS20, maybe Scaleboard or even Strategic bombers. The circles were probably tactical nukes like Frog or SS21, since they are utilized on a tactical grouping. Of course if anyone whom is polish wants to have a look at the key, they might be able to put some light upon it.
