How do you know a SU-24 nuclear armed?

accourding to the Swedish source -

" The russian pilots showed they had nuclear missiles" 

I can't find a specific missile that are nuclear warhead only.

And how does the hand signal look for I am nuclear armed?

Index finger straight up?

 

Or is it just a journalist who were told it could be a nuclear warhead on that kind of missile?

I wonder if Su-24s are even still nuclear capable. I assume they were back in the day. But in any case, obvious the story is bullshit.

Today Swedish armed forces had their weekly press conference on the "Situation in Ukraine"

when the incursion came up,
The spokesperson started with saying that Sw inteligence would never talk about armament on aircrafts in the region.
(as if they say A about Russians they have to say B about NATO ) 

And when asked if this "news" could be seen as planted desinformation,  he did not explicitly deny the claim but his smile said it all.
He did strongly recomend "all"  to be very carfull with their sources..

Tracing it back, more likely a Swedish TV4 journalist not understanding the difference between "nuclear capable" and "carrying nuclear" weapons and then The Sun in their usual fashion finding it and translating it followed by random "defense analysis" click farm websites doing the same.

If this was a effort to "preparing the population to join NATO" it was failed horribly since I haven't seen it or know anyone who knew about it before I read it here...

Retired Sw Air force Officer,  so no language problem.
I do not know the difference between a Soviet Iron bomb and nuke.

Could be he just didn't expect the Russians to fly with free fall bombs.

Whats it saying, when they overfly Swedish territory carrying carrying weapons of any kind? Nothing good.
