Stuart Galbraith Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Finally withdrawn, after 42 years of service. Money well spent.
Stuart Galbraith Posted March 17, 2022 Author Posted March 17, 2022 Its pretty loud hearing them fly over, I can often hear them 20 miles away. OTOH, its directionally deceptive, so you can never quite tell where its coming from. There is a pretty good summation of her career on ZA718's Wiki page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bravo_November

All the kit, spares and manuals went down on the Atlantic Conveyor. Even when they flew it into the sea, the damn thing just bounced off it. 1 hour ago, Dark_Falcon said: I do hope she's to become a museum piece. She earned that. She is, she is going to RAF Cosford, the RAF museum.

Cosford being one of the RAF Museums, the other being located in London. Both are worth a visit. Unfortunately, when I visited Cosford, one of the hangars was closed due to a lightening strike.

And Hendon is such a bitch to get to from the other side of London.
Allan W Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 It was a fairly easy trip from Euston station, with one change in Wolvehampton. The museum is a 10 minute walk from the station.
Stuart Galbraith Posted March 18, 2022 Author Posted March 18, 2022 Try getting there from Paddington. It might be easier now Crossrail is starting to open, dont know. I would like to go and see what its like now, the last time I went was the 1980's.

Google Streetview has images inside if anyone is farther afield.
