Eddy is gone?  Whatever happened to Saturday Night?

Ooo, whatever happened to Saturday night?
When you dressed up sharp and you felt all right?
It don't seem the same since cosmic light
Came into my life, I thought I was divine
I used to go for a ride with a chick who'd go
And listen to the music on the radio
A saxophone was blowin' on a rock n' roll show
We climbed in the backseat, really had a good time
Hot patooties bless my soul
I really love that rock n' roll
Hot patooties bless my soul
I really love that rock n' roll
My head used to swim from that perfume I smelled
My hands kinda fumbled with her
White plastic belt
I'd taste her baby pink lipstick and that's when I'd melt
She'd whisper in my ear tonight she really was mine
Get back in the front, put some hair oil on
Buddy Holly was singing his very last song
With your arms around your girl you'd try to sing along
It felt pretty good, Whoo!, you really had a good time
Hot patooties bless my soul
I really love that rock n' roll
Hot patooties bless my soul
I really love thar rock n' roll
Hot patooties bless my soul, I really love that rock n' roll.
Hot patooties bless my soul, I really love that rock n' roll .
Hot patooties!
Hot patooties!
Hot patooties!
Hot patooties!

Funny thing, I remember him mostly from his performance in The Flight of the Phoenix. Couldn't say if it was his best performance, but it's the one I remember best.

Movie: What are we having for dinner?

Audience: Meatloaf!

Exactly!

What I would say about 'Meatloaf' is that he rode the Springsteen wave of the mid to late 1970s....

And pardon me, but the Glee version of Hot Potootie was rather cute.

But I'd do anything for love, but I won't do that......

Should this be in the mess hall thread?  Well Two out of Three Ain't Bad., but its all coming back to me now, paradise by the dashboard light like a bat out of hell for crying out loud.

well I'm praying for the end of time to hurry and arrive because if I've got to spend another minute on this thread...

You took the words right out of my mouth

Read em and weep, heaven can wait (good girls go the heaven but bad girls go everywhere), but rock and roll dreams come through even when you are out of the frying pan and into the fire, and now I am all revved up with no where to go for crying out loud.   Life is a lemon and I want my money back.
