M37 periscope for M60 loader's hatch

Anyone have a photo of the M60 tank with the M37 periscope installed through the loader's hatch? How often was the periscope installed? So far, I have seen technical diagrams from M60 manuals but they do not clearly show just how high the periscope is above the hatch. Thanks in advance.

Trunnion "N" goes in retainer "P."  Pretty much everything above "N" will be out of the hatch.

That triangular piece gives an indication of how much elevation, + and -, the sight will have.

I don't remember anyone ever using it.

Because 99% of the time he is not actually loading gun, so can be used as another pair of eyes to observe around.
