Can anyone comment as to if this book is any good as  i've never heard of this operation before.

Ive not read that one, but the one they did on Storm 333 was excellent.

Tragic operation, they left 3 marines behind who were then killed by the Khymer Rouge.

The Storm 333 was good but the Operation Eagle Claw was better. I think ill buy this book, it looks good.

"Wages of Destruction" by Adam Tooze. Purchased on Rich's recommendation. Excellent book on the German economy during the 1930's-40's.

"The Captain Class Frigates" by Donald Collingwood. Good read on how the W.W. 2 Royal was served by these U.S. built destroyer escorts. Some interesting comments on how the Royal Navy and the U.S. Navy differ in habitability in their ships.

"A  Colonel in the Armored Divisions" by Col. William S. Tripler. A good look at one officer's view of the U.S. W.W.2 Army. Interesting information on the formation of U.S. Army amphibious vehicles.
