So today is Cinco de Mayo, which traditionally in the US has the same authenticity and solemnity as St. Patrick's Day.

This year, of course, the wokists are going the extra mile to use it as an excuse to call Americans racists. That's not going over well.

Actually, this holiday was started by the R.M.S. Titanic. It is easily forgotten that the Titanic was carrying a large cargo of English mayonnaise and was going to Mexico after stopping in New York. English mayo was very popular in Mexico at this time. When the Titanic sank, many Mexicans refer to this event as "Cinco de Mayo. "

That's almost as good as Milton Berle's joke about what you say when four Spaniards are drowning: Quatro Sink-o.
