A person on another board was nice and found the current URL for me. Why the old URL still worked, I don`t know. The old URL was www.tank-net.com.
Ssnake Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 There used to be a redirect but the domain hosting contract expired, and the domain was not up for grabs, so I couldn't renew the redirect.

Except for presumably before the flood, when it was probably an aol domain At some point the original .org address was expired and was "stolen" by someone who proceeded to advertise tanks on it. No, not codeword "tank", but actual things to put water and other stuff in.

Ssnake Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Well, I certainly remember the times when this was the now current again .org domain, but I would have preferred to preserve that newfangled .com domain redirect so that we don't become the Isla de la Muerta of the internet (the one that can be found only by those who already know where it is).

Saved link didn't work for some reason and just assume the site was having one of its outages. Googled the site after days and found it up again. Not sure what happened.

Found references to this happening many years ago. I thought that might be the case except that the domain contract had expired about 2 weeks before my computer clinch. Anyways, all is good now on this Grate site.🙂
