Yes the M1911 has the lines of a classic sports car where as the average plastic pistols have the lines of a Toyota corolla with the same practicality.

If Walther chambered it for a .45 ACP necked down to .429", that version could be named the PDP-11.

Form follows function. Walther had a winner with their PPQ trigger. The rest of the gun was OK. This is a cleaned up and updated iteration, with market driven features like Glock pattern sights and a optic cut. Personally, I don't understand why they have chosen not to implement the gas retarded blowback system on the CCP pistol for a duty sized double stack. 

ETA:- Their social media marketing on the PDP is by far the best I have ever seen for a 'new' pistol. Coverage is outsatnding.
