So while the media like CNN reports the hard hitting news that the Biden team has a playlist for us plebes during the inauguration and seems to find it totally reasonable that we have 20,000 troops in the capitol to combat what I have to presume is a Russian invasion ala Red Dawn we have reports that the Biden team is reassigning his protective detail to insure no Trump supporters are on his detail and that he is worried that some NG will try and assassinate them.  Dementia and paranoia should be a lovely combination.

In all seriousness, can anyone explain the logic of the deployment to DC?  Is this a message to the rest of the country that Biden will use troops in overwhelming force against the right?  Is this a show of force to cow the opposition? Are they legitimately afraid of an invasion from a foreign power?  Are they that terrified of an insurrection?  Is it just that Congress got a whiff of the French revolution and are in a blind panic? The capitol was invaded by a couple hundred people armed with stupidity and clubs at most.  What the Hell explains this?

Most of the work in Afghanistan is being done by the Afghans and it takes more people for riot control and to secure possible targets than to call in A-10s to chastise the unrighteous.  I suspect the failure to properlu secure the Capitol last week has spooked them into deploying overwhelming numbers just in case.

 

Apparently, the Right was going to have a big protest today in DC and all the talk from them on line was how those posters would be ready for violence.  Any news?

There was a ton of talk, much of it from variable sources.  As of yet nada.  I think this may come as a shock to the left but there's a reason that the left had riots in multiple cities for months while the right had one single instance.  Amazingly enough, the right generally thinks burning businesses and beating the hell out of people who look like they may vote for the other guy is a bad thing to do.  I can only hope that they continue to do so.

Who knows, maybe people will realize that the great threat in America isn't the supposed hordes of white supremacists who never seem to materialize. . .  Probably not though 'cause Trump is a bad man and stuff.

Actually, I'm starting to think that at least some in the Democratic elites are surprisingly well read on history.  This comes right out of the socialist and communist playbook where one of the keys to destroying the will of the populace is to enact policies and such that are overtly ridiculous and indefensible to drive home the point that the elites can do whatever they want and they have no fear of the population doing anything.

Just for fun, I started Googling with search terms "Trinidad" and "Jewish" to learn more about how Jewish people were oppressing other Trinidadians (presumedly black).

Note that Thomas Piketty already demonstrated in 2013 that in the US the disparities of wealth and income exceeded that of France on the eve of the revolution. Yes. Yes, I think they are in a panic that all hell could break lose in the US at any moment, but they are just as afraid of losing their sweet income from milking the public cow by stopping the music just yet.

Twitter is making references to the Biden team / FBI vetting the soldiers to identify which ones are Trump supporters and might pose a threat.  I wouldn't put it past them to peruse social media metadata and start pulling clearances.

Oh ye of little faith. This is all still part of Trump's plan to upstage the French, and the Democrats are playing along without even noticing. First military parades on the national holiday, then the storming of buildings representing government power, now soldiers in the streets of the capital for public security. Next will be regular strikes, then baguetteries will pop up all over the US.
