It will be interesting to see who was right.  Is Biden a dementia addled sock puppet?  Will he stand up to his extreme base in favor of classic Democratic cronyism?  Will we get 1-2 new states?  Does the filibuster go away?  Do we pack the court?  Do they go for amnesty and voting rights or do they go for universal Medicare?  Place your bets!

Can dementia be confused with stuttering, as Biden has had a stutter from childhood?

Probably.  For some reason when I searched the forum it didn't come up!

In all fairness, in the end there were two for Trump :D

Fair question considering that the other party has been swallowed up by its extreme base. 😁

I dunno, AOC, Tlaib and Cori Bush have been appointed to the House Oversight Committee  which drives a great deal of the House's agenda.  It hasn't gotten as much press as people have rioted in DC but with GA in their hands suddenly many Democratic House and Senate members and aides are overtly giving out their priorities of moving statehood, amnesty and so forth to their followers.  Those are things that will ultimately be far more consequential to the fabric of the country than what happened today.

Does Biden radiate so much dementia that he needs two "Because" threads? 😁

Does he have blonde leg hair?

I found nauseating Biden's promise of $2000 checks if the 2 GA senate seats flip.  This is political bribery on a grand scale and utterly repulsive.

And Trump's insistence for $2000 was not?

Oh, he will retract...

Trump wasn't directly tying the money to an election, making a bribe.  Surely you can understand the distinction.

No, he just brought it up a week before the election that would lose the senate to the democrats. Toootally different case, that.

Which is all the more hiliarous given the delay in the Covid relief bill was due to democrats holding it up and Warnock was campaigning on the fact that there was a delay. 🤨

I'm no Trumper, but it is a totally different case.  Biden publicly declared the bribe.  Trump actually helped him:  everybody knew that the $2000 check would not make it through the Republican controlled Senate.

The filibuster will stand, so most of the GOP's worst nightmares will not come to pass.

We will see.  We heard the same thing about Obamacare and yet the conservative Democratic bulwark all folded when the pressure was put on. When the Republicans filibuster DC statehood, Medicare for all or amnesty the pressure on those one or two is going to be overwhelming.  They will be demonized, their donations will take a massive hit, and they will be primaried.  Our hopes rely on politicians being brave and selfless and holding to their ideals.  Have I mentioned yet how cynical I am?

There's a shock.  Don't worry though, our intrepid GOP will rush to assure us that businesses are like churches and thus inviolate.  If you don't like Apple just build a company to compete with them because of slippery slopes. Here's the darkly funny thing; Social media likely cost Trump the election just by stifling the Hunter Biden story.  Numerous conservatives saw it coming for years and encouraged the GOP to regulate them.  Which we couldn't do because if liberal Hitler gets elected he will use that power for evil and we can't risk it.  Now the Democrats are overtly planning to use their majority to regulate the industry to their own ends.  We still get government regulation, conservatives just never had a chance to benefit from it for even an election cycle.

I wish the Democrats were just a little more palatable because God I'd like to join a movement that at least gets sh*t done.

Oh and for those who have faith in Biden he followed up his pronouncements yesterday about how black people would have had it way worse than those coddled rioters yesterday by singling our Republican senators and comparing them to Goebbels with the "Big Lie".  He is really trying to build bridges here and bring us together.  Shocking from the guy who invented the Borking that destroyed our supreme court confirmation process and who accused milquetoast Romney of wanting to put black people "back in chains" in a fake drawl.

The same day that social media shut down Trump and dozens if not hundreds of conservative commenters from general Flynn on down.  And Apple is warning Parler (ya know, the alternative to Twitter that the GOP says we could use so they don't have to violate their sacred principals about regulating private businesses) that they will dump them from their app store and hence the most used electronic platform for social media if they don't agree to oversight and censoring conservative voices.  I said this would happen in threads here months to years ago and got mocked for over-reacting.  I can post how much I wish someone would murder Ted Cruz and there will be no issues on Twitter.  Iran and China have official Twitter accounts.  If I go on Twitter and a tweet goes viral where I say I think PA may have been stolen starting today I am likely gone.  Not to worry though, Biden will protect us 'cause he's a good guy and really cares about the country. . .

Even when he screws up Trump continues to tear the mask off the left.

Well it is true isn't it? If the other side takes the power you achieved it can uses it and extend even more.

The problem for the right is that they have to create, build things to not be dependent on the left and the majority that goes with the flow. But the output is quite small.
