Stuart Galbraith
This probably better belongs in the military history section, but there is so much footage of Soviet and East German Tanks operating in East Germany, it would be a shame for it to be missed here. Gavin-Phillips
It must've taken nerves of steel to do a job like that. I haven't watched the full thing yet but I've marked it for watching later. It would be great though if we could see anything from the Soviet side as they tried to get intelligence on what they were facing. I think that would really made a seriously good movie (the more accurate the better).
Jim Warford
I bought a DVD from Artline Films a few years ago called "Keep the Cold War Cold;" the link below will show the trailer on You Tube. Like this BRIXMIS film, the one from Artline is a great resource for those who might be interested. Very cool stuff... shep854
I heard firearms trainer Pat MacNamara share his story on a podcast; he was in SF and told some hairy stories about romping around E.Germany. Being an adrenaline junkie, he thought it was great fun. Edited December 20, 2020 by shep854
Stuart Galbraith
If you can find them, tracking down the USMLM reports a goldmine on data of GSFG yearly activity. It was interesting to note them observe migs with missiles on them and the ending of troops going home to service the harvest in 1983. The most dangerous year in many ways.
