We'll be getting there, eventually. I'll have a word with the designer. Dialling back the saturation a bit, getting rid of the red, nip and tuck a little.

How about a brown, red and green option? Call it RAC specific....

a. That's a terrible combination

b. That's a terrible combination for people who'd be spared the madness thanks to red-green colorblindness

If you ask people's opinion, you are not going to reach a consensus. If its about their taste, you will have a many-sided civil war.

Make a decision as manager, and stick to it.

If there is high limit on the number of themes, then various themes can be made. If only four, probably worth changing the poetry one.

I can listen to people's opinions and still make a decision and stick to it. :)

Is that a maybe?

Imo, you want a minimum of soft or muted, neutral colors with high letter to background contrast.

Yeah, but the highest contrasts (pure white on deep blue, white on black) are actually a bad choice. The board default uses, FEX, dark grey text on light grey background, for good reason.

A good point. I think most of the posters here are into or close to the presbyopic age group and a higher contrast makes letters easier to see. Would black letters on a lighter blue or grey background be possible? As a rule, the darker colors need to be letters and the background a lighter, different color.

A disclaimer here in that I am probably the most computer illiterate  poster on TankNet.

That is very fair.

When you choose the "Vogon Poetry", you almost can't change back since the contrast, or lack of it, makes it hard to find the menu again :D

If crates and cases. SCC2 Dog Shit Brown.

If inside then white for wartime, Silver aluminized post war. 😉

The new default would be perfect if it didn't use red for quoted posts.

Vogon poetry is the second worst colour scheme of all time.

I actually prefer this over the white one which I REALLY didn't like. But yes it's still too harsh and contrasty. Pastel colours ftw!

Much better now.

Agree very much. There are some red remaining as the color to highlight some options, but it is minor.
