DB
The Drive appears to have developed into a competent reporter of military "stuff". I'd say that several articles posted here recently have been pretty good on the face of it - no obvious contradictions, barbed political spin or over-reaching opinion. Yeah, they're not deep scholarly pieces but I think you'd need deeper inside information to be able to contradict them. It makes a refreshing change. Stuart Galbraith
There was a B52 flying out of Fairford to the middle east that developed an engine fire a couple of weeks ago. I was able to follow it on freedar whilst it declared a 7700. I couldnt pick up what Fairford was saying because it was scrambled, but they seemed to be talking back and forth for about half an hour, till they got it on the ground. https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/news/cheltenham-news/moment-b52-bomber-lands-raf-4763985 There was another one back in September. https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/news/gloucester-news/b52-bomber-issues-emergency-alert-4551362 Edited December 14, 2020 by Stuart Galbraith
