Dawes
Seems like foreign-sourced components are proving to be this vehicle's Achilles heel: https://www.defensenews.com/industry/2020/11/19/turkey-in-talks-with-south-korea-to-salvage-altay-tank-program/
DB
This looks like a mess. I'm not sure how "indigenous" a tank can be if they've outsourced the armour, and the power pack problems in South Korea seem to mean they suddenly need to beg Renk for a transmission. How likely is it that Germany would release this?
Ssnake
Right now, with Erdo acting like a total assclown? "Not very". The German government blocks the sale of much lesser components. Ask me how I know.
Nikolas93TS
This whole issue was caused by German federal authorities refusing to allow export to Turkey of MTU engine and Renk transmission.
