May have been used unofficially by some unofficial western sources...but not officially to be sure.

I also remember reading that Syria got T-72AV from USSR in exchange (in gratitude) for M48 with M111 ammunition, but there is no evidence.

A few years UralVagonZavod published a book with a list of T-72 clients, maybe the table has been uploaded here, but I cannot find it now.
