Tim the Tank Nut Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 I'm quite sure that they would expect you to kneel for them. There is a video online that is something like that. Don't go looking for it. It is very bad.Of course the economic disparity between black professional football players and white female soccer players would make an interesting study...
lucklucky Posted July 4, 2020 Posted July 4, 2020 (edited) Boeing Embraces the Cancel Culture By Firing a Senior Executive For a 33-Year-Old Article Case in point. In 1987, for those of you who majored in gender studies that was 33 years ago, a Navy lieutenant and fighter pilot named Niel (that is not a typo) Golightly wrote an article for Proceedings of the US Naval Institute, the professional journal of the US Navy, called No Right to Fight. The thesis being that women have no right to serve in combat units and the very fact that they are there, regardless of ability, is detrimental. Lots of this crap is being exploited to resolve vendettas, professional disagreements, jealousy, over-ambition. The guy maybe bumped into someone, another wanted his job, or the company wanted a motive to get rid of him. There is a very sick social environment in US, UK, generally in Anglo-Saxon countries that will make a big pressure of resentment.. Edited July 4, 2020 by lucklucky

Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton, the sport's only Black driver, wore a T-shirt with the message "Black Lives Matter."Before the drivers gathered together for the Austrian national anthem, they stood in a line. Fourteen of them took a knee, while six stayed standing. In addition to Verstappen, Leclerc and 2007 world champion Raikkonen, Daniil Kvyat, Carlos Sainz and Antonio Giovinazzi also stood.Ahead of the race it had emerged several drivers had voiced their discomfort with the kneeling gesture. Verstappen and Leclerc had posted their reasoning to social media ahead of the race."I believe that what matters are facts and behaviours in our daily life rather than formal gestures that could be seen as controversial in some countries," Leclerc wrote. "I will not take the knee but this does not mean at all that I am less committed than others in the fight against racism.""I am very committed to equality and the fight against racism," Verstappen wrote. "But I believe everyone has the right to express themself at a time and in a way that suits them."Speaking after qualifying on Saturday, Hamilton had called the drivers' briefing of the previous day "interesting."He said: "In the meeting I just acknowledged a lot of the drivers that there was an interpretation of a message that I'd posted asking for people to speak out in their silence, and just saying thank you for those that have said something on their social platforms as they have a great voice and great platform and then encouraging the others who haven't to say something and I just described the scenario that silence is generally complicit."There is still some silence in some cases, but I think it's also part of a dialogue and trying to understand as I still think there's people that don't fully understand what's happening and the reason for the protest, so I continue to try and be that guider, and influence as many people as I can with it."Haas driver Kevin Magnussen was one of the 14 to kneel, but on Saturday night he explained he was not doing so in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, but the wider issue of racism."I think it's something that there's been a lot of talk about and it's a difficult one because there's always going to be people who interpret it in different ways," Magnussen said. "I am going to take a knee but not because I'm supporting the BLM organisation, I'm just supporting the whole movement that the whole world seems to be coming together for ending racism. That's what I'm for, and that's what I'm trying to show tomorrow by kneeling."I hope that the kneeling part isn't owned or whatever by one particular group or organisation. I hope people will see it as a symbol of support for the whole movement that is going on at the moment for ending racism and discrimination."
Jeff Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 White nationalist plows car into crowd of peaceful protesters and kills one and critically injures another, more right wing violence! Except the BLM idiots were on a highway in the early morning hours having blocked most of the road with vehicles and when a car traveling at highway speed came it had to swerve to miss the vehicles and ended up hitting two protesters standing in the middle of the highway, while trying to maintain control. Driver stopped a little ways down the road to wait for the authorities. The driver's name is Dawit Kelete and he's black. Story goes right down the memory hole. People are dying alright, from deranged stupidity.

Were the 2 people killed and a dozen others wounded Covid related, or victims of a hate crime? The sheriff deputy said the patrons of the Lavish Lounge were obviously not practicing social distancing, which might lead one to believe that Covid made them do it. "They gave us some names and phrases to put on the back of jerseys. That was terrible. It was just a bad miss, a bad choice," Scott said Monday during a conference call with reporters. "They didn't give players a chance to voice our opinions on it; they just gave us a list to pick from. So that was bad, that was terrible. "I'm all about just doing, instead of saying and posting, or putting something on the back of your jersey. I don't think that's going to stop anything, you know?" The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears reported Friday that the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association had agreed to the following list of suggested messages: Black Lives Matter; Say Their Names; Vote; I Can't Breathe; Justice; Peace; Equality; Freedom; Enough; Power to the People; Justice Now; Say Her Name; Sí Se Puede (Yes We Can); Liberation; See Us; Hear Us; Respect Us; Love Us; Listen; Listen to Us; Stand Up; Ally; Anti-Racist; I Am A Man; Speak Up; How Many More; Group Economics; Education Reform; and Mentor. I know everybody has different reasons they're playing for. ... Four hundred and fifty guys, or however many will be there, are sending in whatever they feel like would add to that list and encompass the group that's going down there," Brown said. "What I'd like to personally see on there? Maybe 'Break the Cycle,' putting that on the back of your jersey. 'Results,' that's what everybody is really playing for. 'Inequality by Design,' maybe. Things like that might have a deeper impact than some of the things that were given to us. I think it was a little bit limiting." Scott's teammate, Josh Richardson, said that while he thought the NBA and NBPA were trying to do the right thing with the list of phrases players could use, that only having a handful of them -- and potentially leaving out causes players believe in -- felt limiting. "I mean, I think it came from a place of good intention. But I think it's tough to try to limit what people are feeling, and how people can speak out, to just a list of 15 to 20 sayings, you know? There's a lot of different things that are being thought, a lot of different things that are being wanted to be portrayed, and if it's not in that list of words that they gave us it's almost like it doesn't count as much. So I can see where he comes from with that," he said. NBA players are scheduled to begin arriving at Walt Disney World Resort on Tuesday, and teams will continue arriving through Thursday.
