Stuart Galbraith Posted September 5, 2021 Author Posted September 5, 2021 Thanks. There is supposedly an English Language one made by the US Army, has anyone seen that?
Bob_Mackenzie Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 The 2nd T-62 manual I posted was from the US army?

Stuart Galbraith Posted September 5, 2021 Author Posted September 5, 2021 Sorry Bob, I only saw the first one. Thanks for that.
Stuart Galbraith Posted September 5, 2021 Author Posted September 5, 2021 (edited) Niall asked me to upload the Khalid Manuals again, so here they are. They make interesting comparison with the Chieftain one. https://www.dropbox.com/s/s0t9wpsdjome158/Khalid Part1 Automotive systems (2).pdf?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/2lg8nnnh6nr5w89/Khalid Part 2 Fighting systems (2).pdf?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/5lwxlgg8zv853bb/ces.pdf?dl=0 Edited September 5, 2021 by Stuart Galbraith
niallroberthall Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Thanks for that Stuart - most appreciated. Oh the joys of CES ! I wonder how many times over my Army years i spent going through those and accounting for kit !
Stuart Galbraith Posted September 6, 2021 Author Posted September 6, 2021 Ive read that at Suffield they spent most of their time nicking kit out of other vehicles,so they would have complete equipment list when they handed the vehicle in. Yeah no worries mate. Ive a late Chieftain one I keep meaning to scan, but its something of a big effort to do, even with a feed tray. I cant understand why its necessary to approve every image and not be able to leave the damn thing for an hour to chunter away at it. The wonders of Hewlet packard.
niallroberthall Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 I've been collecting a bunch of Staff Officer's Handbooks, but probably outside the scope of this thread.
Stuart Galbraith Posted September 6, 2021 Author Posted September 6, 2021 No, its all good. Ive a series of those as well, the problem is with all the gatefolds, they canbe some absolute buggers to scan. Ive a British 1975 and 1985 Tank commanders manual, and a Soviet one from the mid 80's. The amusing thing is that many of the illustrations are near identical.

Stuart Galbraith Posted January 21, 2022 Author Posted January 21, 2022 Nice find Niall. Lots of interesting responses to 'Challenger Tank'.

Stuart Galbraith Posted April 30, 2022 Author Posted April 30, 2022 Someone requested this, I forget whom. M728 Combat Engineer Vehicle. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mv8i2wrstafo3vd/M728.pdf?dl=0
JohnAbrams21 Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Has anyone found PDF versions of manuals for the M60 series of tanks(through A3TTS version) That are free? I’ve looked on Google, DuckDuckGo, bing, etc….and the only places I could find them want money for them, even though they’re a govt document free of copyright and no cost. Any help would be nice. Thanks.👍 Anything on the M114 scout vehicle and the AN/TPQ-5 radar would be nice too.
DB Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 If you download this pdf: https://history.army.mil/museums/Arms-and-Ordnance/documents/Policy-Sop/Ordnance/Tanks-Manuals-COMBAT-FULL-TRACKED_M-60_M-60A1_M-60A2_M-60A3.pdf It gives you the TM codes for many manuals associated with the M48 to M60. I picked one of those: 2350-00-148-6548 and found this after a bit of link diving. : https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uva.x002198489&view=1up&seq=1 You may, of course, have luck with some and not with others.
Bundook Posted May 16, 2022 Posted May 16, 2022 Are the Chieftain, Khalid and 1980s IFCS manuals available? The links upthread are all dead.
Stuart Galbraith Posted May 17, 2022 Author Posted May 17, 2022 I can download them, but it's getting awkward hosting them all from my dropbox. I might try and move the M728 to Rchive.org. I'll see what I can do, it may take me some time.

All I could offer in return is an "Application of fire from Centurion tanks" pam.
Stuart Galbraith Posted May 25, 2022 Author Posted May 25, 2022 OK Bundook, and anyone else thats interested. This is the Chieftain Mk2/3/5 manual. Ive updated it from the previous upload and scanned in the bits I seem to have missed. The unfortunate result is that those pages is about 50 percent larger than the other (ironically other than the gatefolds), which I suspect is due to them being scanned on my Czer and at a high quality. If that bothers anyone, well, you can always hit Ebay and buy and scan your own. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rf05ftsuilxnbaf/Chieftain Mk2-3-5 User Handbook.pdf?dl=0 Ill try and get the 5-12 Chieftain manual compiled and uploaded. This may take some time, I injured my arm the other day and everything is taking about twice as long as normal.
