8 days later, still no mention of what terrorist group radicalized Desmond Holly. I'm sticking with my "protected group" theory*.

There are reports that he was on the FBI's radar, but these days that could simply mean that his social media postings triggered a keyword analysis and put his account on a watch list. We don't even know if the log event bubbled up high enough for human intervention.

* While it is absolutely possible he could have become neo-Nazi or Klan-esque, there is also the possibility that he was radicalized by an FBI entrapment activity. If the latter case, we'll never know.

Not mention i haven't heard of Desmond Holly

May be a socio-political shooting, not sure yet;

NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — A gunman opened fire in a New Hampshire country club on Saturday, killing one person and wounding several others, authorities said.

The person who died at the Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua was an adult male, according to New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella and Nashua Police Chief Kevin Rourke.

Authorities said the suspect, who was detained at the scene, was also an adult male, and earlier reports of two shooters were mistaken. Police said there was no further danger to the public.

Investigators were still working to determine a motive, New Hampshire Senior Assistant Attorney General Peter Hinckley said.

Tom Bartelson of Pepperell, Massachusetts, who was at the country club, described a chaotic scene that unfolded near his nephew's wedding. He said he heard the shooter say “the children are safe” and “free Palestine” and appeared to be targeting someone.

“Getting together for a dance for the bride and groom and then all chaos went off,” he said. “We heard about six shots and everybody ducked for cover and next thing you know we’re rushed into safe spots and things like that.”

Officials said Desmond acted alone and was "radicalized" before the attack. His social media profiles suggest he was part of a new wave of online extremism that encourages the use of violence to destroy society. The teenager's accounts were littered with references to white supremacy, antisemitism and violence, with a particular focus on past mass shootings, including the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School.

No mention of who the "Officials" were, or which agency they work for. Must of the reporting is based on claims by the ADL, which is morally compromised.

The FBI in July began investigating social media accounts connected to the 16-year-old who shot two students and then himself at Evergreen High School last week, but did not identify the boy or take any further action before the attack, the agency confirmed Monday.

The FBI “opened an assessment into a social media account user whose identity was unknown and who was discussing the planning of a mass shooting with threats non-specific in nature,” the agency said in a statement.

“During the assessment investigation, the identity of the account user remained unknown, and thus there was no probable cause for arrest or additional law enforcement action at the federal level,” the statement continued.

The shooter's social media footprint fits into a new wave of online extremism and suggests he was involved in nihilistic violent extremist networks, which often aim to exploit children and teenagers and push them toward violence, experts told The Post. The 16-year-old likely had an interest in mass shootings and then sought out the online extremist spaces, where he learned the cultural script for carrying out such an attack, experts said.

It sounds a lot like the Columbine scenario, except only one shooter.

One would think that the existence of "nihilistic violent extremist networks" would garner quite a bit of attention from the FBI, but I can't tell if they're on it or not.
