One of the reasons I find the national patchwork of carry laws to be absurd is the fact that my own grandmother carried a little 25 ACP pistol EVERYWHERE she went. Even to California. Very illegal, but she didn't bloody well care.

My initial response was “oh, ok, that’s why he massacred a crowd at a country western concert across the street from the casino” but on second thought, for people that mental it might be a motive.

Ross Perot got an awful lot of votes, almost 20% of the popular vote during the 1992 presidential election, and one of the planks from his platform was the rounding up and confiscation of firearms.

Perot got so many votes since people were mad at Bush for his "No New Taxes" BS.  It was a self inflicted wound.

Also, the breadth of 2nd amendment legal scholarship was minuscule at the time. Everyone was also still believing in the myth of the success of gun control save for some folks who were looking deeper.

One that a more deft politician could have defended, but probably should have avoided.  He broke his pledge when the Democrat held House held the troops hostage in Saudi Arabia.  The Democrats were refusing to authorize funds to support those troops as they defended Saudi Arabia from what looked like a certain invasion of the Kingdom after Iraq had just gobbled up Kuwait, unless Bush the Weak capitulated and agreed to raise taxes.

Daytona Beach, Florida, 31 March 2023: Our hearts are broken by the senseless, tragic murders of children and staff at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. Operation Blazing Sword - Pink Pistols denounces and condemns the actions of the murderer. The speech/violence thing is NOT something that I've seen out of Erin or the fragmentary leadership (it's like a herd of cats) in the Pink Pistols chapters. 

The point is that their objectives ares defensive and always defensive. A couple of years ago some mumbling was made of a sorta offensive bent with Trump on the horizon. I seem to recall that being shut down hard within the Pink Pistols. 

Hence why this clear declaration: "We do not act out of vengeance. We act only in defense. Anyone who does otherwise is not one of us, and we will act to stop them by any legal means necessary."

I see that as a shot across the bow of anyone who tries to justify the shooting up of the school.

I gotta say the whole "queers killing Christians!!!!111!!!" thing is a fine example of typical loony dichotomic rampage exegesis, since the shooter used to attend the school herself. I'm unironically sure somewhere someone on the Left is classing this as an anti-queer hate crime 'cause the shooter thought that school made her gay, and somewhere someone on the Right hails it as a strike against the cultural Marxist conspiracy to make everyone gay for the same reason.

Fine, but the statement "At no other time in recent history has the fight for both transgender rights and firearm rights been more critical. " would seem to imply support for the current trend of teachers and doctors coercing 5 year olds to believe they are trans.
